Overslaugh

Out of favor,
Vestigial heart palpatation,

Luna(r)

He never asked she change
Her coloration,
She was the moon and white and always would be,

Because no one breaks your heart
Except yourself,
And I would rather
Ashes

Pieces,
I’d rather
Cinder, unmendable,
Than
Kintsukuroi, golden-veined.

As though this chord poured every inch of effort out of me – a whole blues band contained in that note.
